Synod Youth Commitee Mini Camp (for youth grades 3-6)
Session 1 March 7-9, 2008 - Session 2 - April 4-6 2008

Our Theme: Finding NEMO: New-found Existence Marked by Our God!

The annual SPSYC Elementary Event for 3rd-6th graders is a great youth-led, adult-guided event! Take the “plunge” with us as we dive into the baptismal waters that mark each of us into a life that isfilled with God's grace.

We explore our theme in four sessions led by our speaker (back by popular demand!), Kevin Fippin. In the Bible Rotation we will explore God's word with experiential classes, songs and worship around the campfire, crafts, and games, teaching the importance of our faith, God's faith in us, and the Word.

We again feature the making of 20-minute movie starring every camper. This year we will produce The Prodigal Family , and each of our participants will get a speaking part (if they want one!).

SPSYC has been planning diligently for months so that your youth will learn and experience God's love at this mountain-top experience. This gathering will be a wonderful opportunity to teach your youth fun and interesting ways to get excited about God.

End of the Year Confirmation Retreat - May 2-4, 2008

This event is designed for confiramtion leaders to bring their group to a programmed weekend at camp and have a chance to work with your group to wrap up a year of confirmation teaching. Click up above for a flyer and registration form.

Memorial Day Work Weekend and Celebration - May 23-26, 2008

This is it, the big weekend of the year. You can fight traffic and the rest of California going camping or to the lake, or you can come for a fun and free weekend at Mt. Cross to help get camp ready for the busy summer season. A great event for youth groups. Saturday and Sunday are spent getting work projects done with recreation activities in the afternoon. Monday is our traditaional BBQ and fundraising celebration event. Please make plans to be here. You must register for this event - a form will be linked here early in 2007.

Fall Work Weekend - September 26-28, 2008

Weren't able to make it to Memorial Wekeend. This volunteer opportunity is back for the second year. A great event for men's, women's, youth, and other chuch groups. This weekend is free for all particiapants. We just need your help to keep the camp looking great. Look here for a registration form soon.
