Mt. Cross is owned and operated by the Lutheran Churches of the Sierra Pacific Synod of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) and the California-Nevada-Hawaii district of the LCMS (Lutheran Church Missouri Synod). These bodies appoint a Board of Directors who oversee camp operations and call an Executive Director.
